Neighbourhood Centre
The Neighbourhood Centre is a section of the Community Centre that coordinates the following programs:
- Tax Help (by appointment)
- Hunter Region No Interest Loans (by appointment)
- Aerobics classes (visit this page for times)
- Computer classes (visit this page for times)
- Community events (see our events page)
- Information and assisted referrals

The Neighbourhood Centre also operates the Carers Friendship Network:
Carer’s Friendship Network (CFN)
The CFN is a group of people who are, or have been, carer to a person with dementia and choose to enjoy the support of a Carers’ group. The CFN meets monthly on a Wednesday and alternates between on-site meetings (often with a guest speaker – held from 10am-12pm) and day outings.
The CFN members pay for their own meals while out and there is also a nominal fee for the bus. Members meet at Kurri Kurri Community Centre and are returned to the centre at the end of the outing.
A calender of dates will be posted out in January each year to all participants who are on our list.
